The Opportunity

This role is for those who love to solve complex problems and build the logic that makes web applications work. Join our team as a Backend Developer Trainee for a 6-month remote position. You will learn about server-side development, databases, and APIs while working on meaningful projects that power our EdTech platform.

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)

• Assist senior developers in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient server-side code, primarily in PHP.
• Work with databases (MySQL), including designing schemas, writing queries, and managing data integration.
• Help with the development, testing, and documentation of APIs.
• Learn and apply web security best practices to protect applications from common vulnerabilities.

Who We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A basic understanding of a backend programming language (PHP is a significant plus).
• Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL and SQL query language.
• A logical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for building robust backend systems.
